RFID Escort Memory System

RFID tracking systems for demanding industrial environments, available for both HF and UHF frequencies.

For demanding industrial environments, both HF and UHF frequencies

Turck BL20 and BL67 distributed I/O series RFID modules enable an easy way to integrate RFID identification into automation systems

  • The RFID reader is controlled directly from the control system like any other distributed I/O. BL67 is an IP67-enclosed I/O series with an operating temperature range of -40...+70 °C.
  • Each RFID module has two channels for connecting readers. Both HF and UHF frequency readers can be connected to the same module. A total of 16 readers can be connected to one bus controller.
  • In Turck's RFID system, communication between the reader and the module is implemented with RS485 serial communication, and shielded cables ensure suitability for industrial environments. The distance between the reader and the bus module can be up to 100 meters.
  • Tags also include special models that withstand high temperatures up to +210 °C and models that can be installed directly on metal surfaces.
  • In addition to RFID, both I/O series can accommodate digital and analog inputs/outputs, temperature inputs, and additionally SSI input, PWM output, and RS232/485 modules.
  • The bus controller connection can be implemented, for example, with Profibus-DP, CANOpen, and EtherCAT buses. The latest addition to the range is the Multiprotocol controller, which can be used with PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP buses.
