More on gas processing solutions
Need solutions for environmentally friendly gas processing? We provide biogas pumping stations, upgrading solutions, processing stations and industrial LNG systems.
Biogas pumping stations
Gas pumping stations collect, dry, pressurise and purify gas. Gas processing stations can combine gas flows from different sources and adjust the methane content for various uses.
The purpose of a biogas pumping station is to maintain a safe negative pressure in the gas collection pipelines to keep a controlled gas flow going.
The pumping stations are automated and unstaffed, controlled by a programmable logic system. The operations of the biogas plant can be monitored from the logic system’s control panel. The equipment can also be controlled remotely.
From the biogas pumping station, the gas is sent to an engine- or microturbine-powered plant for use in electricity, heat or steam production. Alternatively, the gas can be upgraded for fuel use.
- Our current biogas pumping stations collect enough methane from landfills to equal 500,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
- We can also handle the operation and maintenance of your plant, if you wish.
- Our service contract model includes operations, maintenance and investments.
- If required, we can carry out gas formation surveys and pumping tests.
- Our expertise includes the design of gas processing systems.
Biogas upgrading with membrane technology
Membrane biogas upgrading plant M150/M300/M600
Our plant is suitable for all producers of biogas and all reactor types. For example, the same plant can be used to upgrade biogas into fuel for vehicles or biomethane for network distribution.
The plant operates by directing pressurised gas through a membrane filter. The plants were designed for the needs of Finnish biogas producers.

oimintaperiaatteena on paineistetun kaasun johtaminen kalvosuodattimen läpi. Membraanilaitoksen suunnittelun lähtökohtana oli suomalaisten biokaasun tuottajien tarpeet.
Commissioning of biogas upgrading plant is easy
We deliver our plants fully tested and ready for production on bedplates with electrical and gas network connections. The plant can also be connected to the site’s internal district heating and cooling networks.
Our personnel helps you commission the plant and also organise the operator training.
Modular solution
Our plants are available in capacities of 150, 300 and 600 m3/h of biogas production. Higher capacities can be achieved by combining the above capacities. Combined plants also feature better operational reliability. The plants are compact with a minimal footprint.
Greenlane Biogas purification system
The Greenlane Biogas systems were developed to purify raw biogas. Greenlane Renewables, the system manufacturer, is a technological pioneer of the industry with its third-generation plants.
- Greenlane CSFR (Compression-Scrubbing-Flash-Recovery) is an advanced and energy-efficient biogas purification system.
- The system’s technology uses plain water to purify the biogas.
- This method has fewer environmental impacts than any other purificatin technology.
- Compared to solvent-based methods, the CSFR method is safe for both operators and the environment.
Typically, biogas contains 65 % methane and 35 % carbon dioxide. The relative methane content must be increased by separating carbon dioxide to make the biogas viable for vehicle use and natural gas networks.
The Greenlane purification system uses water to scrub unwanted and harmful carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), and volatile organic compounds (VOC) from biogas. All water-soluble compounds are separated, leaving only high-grade biomethane.
The method uses high pressure and a tall scrubbing tower with a water cascade. Under pressure, the water-soluble gases enter the counterflowing water more readily and effectively.
Gas processing stations
We design and tailor our gas processing stations according to your needs. For example, they can be used for:
- Gas drying
- Gas upgrading
- Liquid gas vaporisation
- Pressure and temperature adjustment
- Combining different gas streams and distributing the gas to multiple sites
Our gas processing stations can also adjust the flow and temperature of gas. Gas measurement and analysis are often an important part of gas processing station deliveries.
The processed gas flows can be forwarded to filling stations and industrial consumers, for example.
LNG systems for industry
LNG-satellite stations
We deliver complete LNG satellite stations with tanks and vaporisers as turnkey installations. Our options include fixed horizontal and vertical tanks as well as mobile LNG containers.
All stations are dimensioned and tailored to your needs. For example, the LNG vaporisers can use ambient heat or water baths, if hot water is available.
Among other things, the station is dimensioned according to the site’s power consumption, peaks and logistics, as LNG is often transported by truck.
LNG is versatile
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (LBG) have many uses in energy production and other industrial processes. They can replace heavy fuel oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), for example. LNG is a low-cost fuel and produces fewer emissions than fuel oil or LPG. LNG and LBG are also excellent options for fuelling heavy transport.
LNG contains no heavy metals or sulphur, and its exhaust is free of harmful fine particle pollution. LNG also has considerably lower CO2 emissions compared to many other fuels. The calculated CO2 emissions of LBG are effectively zero.
The combustion gases are clean and useful for heating, drying, and food production, for example.
