Parker BAM breathing air purifiers are designed for large-scale breathing air needs. The treated air meets the European Pharmacopoeia requirements for medical compressed air.

Producing clean air is a basic requirement for every hospital and pharmaceutical factory. BAM breathing air purification packages include integrated filtration and purification stages, and the air they produce meets the European Pharmacopoeia requirements for medical compressed air. The purification units are a suitable solution when the need for breathing air is significant.

We assist in proper plant sizing

  • The compressed air system designer makes their own calculations based on the request for quotation.
  • Additionally, we need information on how much medical compressed air is required and at what pressure.
  • If it is a renovation project, we can perform a capacity measurement for the old system.

Breathing air purifier cleaning stages

  1. Water separation: Removal of liquid water and oil
  2. General filtration: Removal of particles down to 1 µm. Maximum residual oil content 0.5 ppm.
  3. Fine filtration: Removal of particles down to 0.01 µm. Maximum residual oil content 0.01 ppm.
  4. Activated carbon filtration: Removal of oil vapors and odors, maximum residual oil content 0.003 ppm.
  5. Heatless regenerated adsorption dryer: Pressure dew point -40°C, partial removal of carbon dioxide (CO2).
  6. Carbon/catalyst purification unit: Reduction of CO levels to comply with breathing air standards through oxidation
  7. Dust filtration: Removal of 99.9999% of particles
