Laser Gauges for Distance Measurement
Laser technology enables measurements up to 1200 meters.

Typical applications: automated warehouses, mobile carts, and surface measurements.
Single-point measurement
- Laser measurements typically have good repeatability, but the signal linearity is lower.
- The measurement method does not require cabling to the moving object.
- In reflective mirror models, the maximum measuring distance is up to 1200 m
- In models reflecting from natural objects, the maximum is approximately 155 m
Triangulation measurement
- Laser sensors based on triangulation achieve extremely accurate distance measurement results.
- Two sensors operating on the triangulation principle can measure the thickness of an object without contact.
- The output signal is typically a current or voltage signal, but other signal types are also possible.
- Short response times for analog and digital outputs and a small beam diameter at the focal distance are features that expand the usability of laser sensors in demanding applications.
