Honeywell Sonik gas leak detector detects leaks in all conditions

Field studies have shown that approximately 30% of flammable gas leaks may go undetected by traditional gas detectors because the wind blows them away, and the sensor does not detect the leak. If weather conditions change and the wind calms, a flammable gas cloud may form.

Operation based on ultrasound

The revolutionary Sonik gas detector operates using ultrasound. Sonik "hears" the sound waves caused by gas leaks, which are inaudible to the human ear.

SIL 2-certified and factory-calibrated Sonik can be installed in any position, even in difficult conditions.

Quick response to gas leaks

The Sonik gas leak detector quickly responds to gas leaks within its range. The typical range is 20 m, depending on background noise.

Normal mode detects ultrasound across a wide area where background noise is normal or low. However, it is often known in advance where the potential leak source is.

Focus mode enables the use of algorithms that filter out frequencies not being monitored. This reduces the risk of false alarms.
