Bauer B-Virus Free

Bauer B-VIRUS FREE is a solution developed by Bauer that eliminates viruses and pathogens at the intake phase of the breathing air compressor.

The patented system is designed to protect firefighters, divers, workers in hazardous locations, the military, and anyone who breathes compressed breathing air through a breathing apparatus. The new B-VIRUS FREE filter system removes up to 99.9% of coronaviruses, bacteria, and spores. Viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, as well as bacteria and spores, are invisible and easily spread. Even the high temperatures and pressure levels of the compressor compression process do not affect them because the compression process is fast. Typically, air quality is monitored through regular air quality tests, but viruses, bacteria, and spores cannot be measured with sensors. BAUER B-VIRUS FREE complements Bauer's existing filtration system as well as the B-DETECTION PLUS compressed air quality monitoring system.

Operating Principle

1. Air is passed through the filter, which removes normal dust particles and pollen.
2. Using high-intensity UVC radiation, a specially designed UV light eliminates pathogens from intake air by destroying the DNA of bacteria and spores and the RNA of viruses. This prevents the pathogens from reproducing.
