Sarlin expands in the Nordics through acquisitions

We are expanding our compressed air business by acquiring the Granzow companies in Sweden and Norway. The transaction supports our strategic goal of accelerating profitable growth in the Nordic market.

Both parties will benefit by sharing best practices to develop their operations, becoming a stronger company with greater capabilities to grow and compete across the region.

“Granzow has decades of experience and an excellent reputation in the Swedish and Norwegian markets, so this acquisition gives us a solid foothold there. It also opens up new opportunities for our Balance Pro compressed air optimization system, turbo compressors, and lifecycle services. Our goal is to bring our project expertise to these markets as well,” says Sarlin’s CEO, Jiri Viholainen.

For both Sarlin and Granzow, the broader product and service range and unified customer support will enable deeper and wider customer relationships. It will also open opportunities to participate in larger projects, particularly with major industrial companies with operations in the three countries. Sarlin’s solutions help customers reduce emissions and costs sustainably.

The acquisition will increase our revenue by more than EUR 11 million.

The acquisition will increase our revenue by more than EUR 11 million from last year’s EUR 26 million.

“Our main goal is profitable growth. With this transaction, we are not looking for synergies through cost-cutting, but rather through increased collaboration, for example, in supply chains and project expertise”, CEO Jiri Viholainen explains.

According to Fredrik Wikström, Chair of the Board, Sarlin and Granzow have known each other for a long time.

“We know each other well, and I believe our corporate cultures and values are highly compatible. By combining the best of the companies, we can help our customers grow and provide even better service than before,” says Fredrik Wikström.

Last year, Sarlin’s revenue amounted to EUR 26 million. After the acquisition, Sarlin Group Oy Ab’s turnover amounts to 94 million euros, and the group’s companies employ a total of 450 people. In addition to Sarlin’s and Granzow’s business operations, the group also includes Beamex Group, a world-leading expert in calibration technology.

All companies will continue to operate under their own brands and with their existing staff. The harmonization of operations will take place gradually and in close dialogue with employees.
