Speed Monitors, Safety Certified
Motrona DS230-260 series speed monitoring products are designed for use with SIL2/PLd or SIL3/PLe certified sensors, depending on the application’s safety requirements.
Critical safety applications involve monitoring over- or underspeed, rotational direction, and stopping conditions. A safety-rated sensor transmits the speed data, and the safety speed monitor compares the sensor data to the set reference values. When the threshold is met, the speed monitor provides an immediate stop signal for the machine.
Stop monitoring can be used to prevent unwanted starts and ensure that the machine is completely stopped.
