Fiber Optic Converter for Encoders (2km)

Motrona fiber optic converter pair LW215 (transmitter) and LW216 (receiver) converts incremental sensor pulse signals into optical signals and transmits them over long distances without interference. The fiber optic converter operates at a wavelength of 850 nm up to 2000 m.

Optical data transmission is also immune to electrical interference. The fiber optic converter operates at an 850 nm wavelength up to 2000 m. Devices providing pulse signals are typically used for length, speed, and flow measurements.

  • It is possible to adapt TTL and HTL Push-Pull pulse signals from various measuring devices.
  •  A maximum of four optically transmitted pulse channels are possible with a maximum data transfer rate of 2 Mbit/s.
  • The converter pair LW215 functions as a transmitter and converts pulse signals for optical transmission up to 2000 meters.
  • LW216 functions as a receiver and converts optical signals back to the original pulse form. The maximum pulse input frequency is up to 1 MHz, and the conversion time is under 300 ms.
